Upload a converted MRPack ZIP to a Minecraft server panel

Preparing a server upload? Use the MRPack to ZIP converter to create the ZIP first, then check this page for folder layout and upload cautions.

Many hosting panels understand ZIP uploads better than MRPack manifests. The safest workflow is to convert the pack, review missing downloads, then upload a complete folder.

Before upload

  1. Inspect the pack and note the Minecraft version.
  2. Confirm whether the pack uses Fabric, Quilt, Forge, or NeoForge.
  3. Convert the MRPack to ZIP with overrides enabled.
  4. Download the failed downloads report if the converter creates one.
  5. Add any missing server-side mods manually.

Folder layout

Most server panels expect a layout like this:

mods/ config/ defaultconfigs/ server.properties

Common mistake

Do not upload only modrinth.index.json. That file is a manifest, not the complete modpack. The server needs the actual mod files and overrides.
